Research

The mission of the research wing is to conduct educational and research activities with a focus on addressing concerns of technological developments and solutions. In order to facilitate the same, a Research Council has been formulated with Principal as the Chairman and members from all departments. The Research Council reviews the R & D activities of the faculty and students and advises them on the formulation of R & D proposals keeping in view of institutional developmental goals, national priorities and emerging technological opportunities. It also assists the faculty members in fostering linkages between industries, research laboratories, and potential stakeholders on programmes of mutual interest. The Research Council also organizes programs to motivate the faculty to enrol for PhD programs in their respective fields of interest. The Research Council provides
guidance to research scholars to prepare for doctoral committee presentation and for obtaining research funding from various agencies.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship

As per statistics, India is ranked third in Global Start up ecosystem. Accordingly, through the start up mission, Kerala and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University are supporting the campus start-up Ecosystem through various programs. The IEDC Cell and AICTE IDEA LAB has organised a number of programs to nurture the entrepreneurship activities. To boost the activities on these lines, the campus has established a Rajadhani Incubation Centre, which facilitates Innovation, Knowledge sharing, Training and networking, assistance to finance and legal support for patenting under one roof to promote Entrepreneurship culture in the campus. So far six start-ups have been registered under
IEDC till date and three Patents have been filed and approved.
