The Placement Cell
The placement cell ensures that all eligible students are given an opportunity to mark their presence in the industry. The cell aims to provide 100% placement assistance to our students. It consists of the placement coordinator and student placement representatives from each department.
Training Programs
The training programs are chosen based on a Training Need Analysis conducted among the students. This helps to deliver the right content of training to the required category of students. RIET has also shown keen interest in including Value Added Courses, which provides Certifications to the students on completion of the course.
Soft Skill Development Training Programs
Soft Skill development is included with the regular academic programs. This is headed by the Placement Officer who is assisted by faculty and student representatives from all departments. As a part of it, job oriented courses, special training programs, aptitude tests and group discussions are held periodically. CGPU REPORT 2023-24
The Market Scenario
The current market scenario demands more skilled professionals in all fields. The training modes were changed a lot. The opportunities given by AI and logistics are favourable to all branches. Also the demand for designers in the core field is satisfactory. Due to the case of recession across the Globe, the IT sectors possess less hope for Placement drives and new job openings. But somehow the placement activities and actions taken by KKEM for the engineering colleges and polytechnic colleges for the core fields is highly appreciable. With the combined effort from the management, Principal, HoD’s, faculties, industry experts and students RIET CGPU has achieved a good position among Private self financing colleges in Kerala.

Training
The CGPU training started right from the first day of a student at the college through our Orientation Program. Experts from all sides of the society will be handling the sessions. The aim of the program is to make them focus on their classes and to make a bridge for their professional career. Other value added courses were run as per the training calendar during the academic year.
The senior students were given a pre-placement engagement programme by UST on their vacation time. It was followed by an expert session on Data analytics & AI by Boston Institute of analytics. A campus orientation programme was conducted in association with Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission (KKEM). For Civil service aspirants, a programme named Pathway to civil service Examination was also conducted. Mr. Rajith Karunakaran, an expert in handling mentorship programmes, engaged in a session on resume preparation. For circuit branches, a session on, “All about IT industry, WHAT, WHY, HOW” was taken by One team solutions.
ICT Academy of Kerala and KKEM
In order to provide the bright students of academic institutions with opportunities to obtain gainful career, ICT Academy of Kerala (ICTAK) has formed a premium membership programme this year with select engineering/science colleges in the state. Our institute has been selected as one among the top 25 institutes in Kerala. Selected institutions will be provided with a one-year membership and will be supported by ICTAK on a set of activities that will help the students, teachers and the institution at large. The Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission, (KKEM) has given many opportunities for the students for grooming and they share information regarding placement activities happening in nearby colleges through DWMS portal.

Conclusion
The efforts of the CGPU team, combined with the excellent academic system and the opportunity for all-round development have contributed to making RIET one of the preferred destinations for recruiters as well as students. The success of the placement endeavour can be attributed to the willingness of the students to put in hard work as well as the tremendous support provided by the administration, HoDs, faculty, student volunteers and other well-wishers. The CGPU team is thanking them all and looking forward to their continued support.
